We are a non-profit organization that brings together both Latin Americans and Latin enthusiasts living in BC. This vast network can be compared to the public square or, as it is common said in Latin America, la plaza.
In the past, the plaza acted as the social and economic hub of a city and as the heart of the community, playing an important role in bringing people together.
Latincouver is the modern-day plaza. With us, professional connections are made, and entrepreneurs get the help they need for their businesses to grow and succeed.
Latincouver creates a socio-economic space to promote relationships and cultural exchange among Latin Americans and the Canadian mosaic.
We want to create physical and virtual spaces to allow for Latin American culture, business and social interaction within a Canadian context to build a strong community while we support each other to grow in British Columbia.
- Values, respects and recognizes its volunteers, members, sponsors, supporters and the efforts and contributions of the communities;
- Empowers the people and communities being served;
- Aims to build a positive and long-lasting legacy;
- Maintains transparency in its actions and decision-making processes;
- Supports sound stewardship of its resources in order to be fully sustainable;
- Is non-partisan;
- Acts with integrity and professionalism;
- Fosters unity amongst its members, volunteers, and the community at large;
- Promotes acceptance and inclusivity;
- Operates in a fiscally responsible manner at all times.
