The goal of this project is to promote and engage in discussions regarding ageism and racism discrimination within the Latin American community and in the Canadian culture as a whole to ensure that our Latin seniors community integrate better and participate not only within their own community, but also in the Canadian society.
By offering a child-friendly, safe, educationally relevant space for parents/caregivers – particularly women – Chiquitzin supports Latin Americans as they seek to increase their economic and social presence in Canada. When the parents/caregivers are economically empowered and stable, this ultimately helps the whole family.
