Roundtable “The Impact of the Pandemic on the Latin American Community”

Discussion on how much has changed in the two years and a half since the pandemic was declared from our community perspective.

  • Dr. Diego Villa – MD, MPH, FRCPC, Oncologist BBCA.
  • Sonia Zebuada – Latin Entrepreneur and Amigos LGBTQ2 + in BC.
  • Maurico Hetti – Vice-President from Brazilian Community.
  • Rocco Servero – Mexicanos en Vancouver Grupo de Apoyo, CUPE BC committee Pink Triangle and part of LGBTQ2S collective.

After the round table our friends from MOA will give a tour of the Museum to the attendees. Where they will enjoy the Xicanx Art Exhibition, the artists in this exhibition are dreamers and change makers. They are of Mexican American heritage—self-identified as Xicanx (the neutral grammatical gender of Chicano/a). The term transcends borders and gender to encompass the Xicanx people’s multi-generational experiences of social difference.
