Breaking Isolation & Strengthening ties with our Seniors

We are LatinoSeniors council in BC connecting our Latino seniors in Canada in order to create a stronger community, We are inviting to the Seniors through recreational, educational and cultural activities.

Jorge is a Doctor from Cuba with a specialty in Epidemiology. In this workshop the Seniors will learn about vaccines and how to prevent diseases with the tips that Doctor Jorge will tell us about in this workshop. Don Antonio was born in Costa Rica, he has held positions representing Costa Ricans in Vancouver as Honorary Consul of Costa Rica in Vancouver. He will tell us how the changes have been throughout these decades in the Latino community in Vancouver, BC. What has been achieved, the obstacles and the important contributions that our community has given to this our new home.

MISSION

The mission  this project is to promote and engage in discussions regarding ageism and racism discrimination within the Latin American community and in the Canadian culture as a whole to ensure that our Latin seniors community integrate better and participate not only within their own community, but also in the Canadian society throught different activities.

VISION

The vision of the Latino Seniors Council is to have a physical space to carry out all the activities in the center. Leave a legacy for when the new generations reach our age they enjoy this space.
