2008 – Latin Plaza?
Paola Murillo arrived in 2005. She used to work for an HR company when her passion was helping newcomers to find jobs. In 2007, she worked for Canadian Heritage. When arrangements were just being made for the Vancouver Olympics, she realized that Latinos did not have a place or voice in the city. Her passion evolved towards creating a common physical space, the Latin plaza, where people can gather, help, support each other and grow, while creating a stronger voice in British Columbia.
